Conjugating the verb Être
This verb means to be, and you place it after the pronoun and it matches the subjects gender and plurality
Je suis (I am)

Negation and how you place the negation
this is ne…pas and it turns the sentence negative/ so like a not in English/
The ne is placed before the verb and the pas after the verb both all after the subject.
Ex:
Je (pronoun / subjectif) ne sais (verb) pas = I am not
Tu (pronoun) ne es (verb) pas = you are not
Pronunciation of consonants
Remember that most written final consonant in French are not pronounced:
However the consonant C, R, F, L are the most common consonants that are produced at the end of a word.
But because the the liaison, a word that comes after the finial constant starts with a vowel we produce that finical constant at the begging of the next word, if that constant starts with:
