Acclimatization

becoming used to something over a period of time by increasing length and intensity

Acute mountain sickness

illness stemming from the body being unused to high altitudes and low oxygen concentration, creating tissue disruption in the brain

Basal cell cancer

type of skin cancer in basal cells which produces new skin cells

Conductive heat exchange

physical contact resulting in heat loss/gain

Convective heat exchange

rapid physical fatigue due to overexposure to heat

High altitude pulmonary edema

lungs accumulate fluid in alveolar walls

High altitude cerebral edema
