Oval
Can wear any hairstyle/ protective hairstyle. '“IDEAL” face type, Forehead is slightly wider than the chin
Round
wide with a round oval hairline, updos, weaves with waves/curls and asymmetrical styles (height and volume)
Square
Full styles that frame the face, wisps or tapered fringe soften lines (layers). Forehead, cheekbones and jawline are the same width. Minimal curves within the face.
Heart- shaped
Braids that frame the face, add fullness around the chin, minimize width of the forehead with partial bangs/ wisps. Upper half of the face is wider (fore head and cheekbones) than the lower half (jawline).
Pear-shaped
Use soft fringe at the forehead, direct attention away from the forehead, close at cheekbones and behind the ears. Narrow upper forehead and wide lower jaw (overall triangle shaped appearance).
Oblong
Full styles that make face appear shorter or wider, soft partial bangs, avoid middle parts, braids should not be long. Face is twice as long as they are wide, angular or slightly curved chin.
Diamond
Full bangs or partial bangs, avoid updos, use styles that are full around the forehead or jawline. Narrow forehead, wide cheekbones and a narrow chin.
