Symptoms of acute cervical pain
pain that may or may not radiate to the scapula or deltoid and/or biceps area of the shoulder, stiffness (decreased motion), generally without paresthesias
Symptoms of chronic cervical pain
persistence of acute symptoms: pain that may or may not radiate to the scapula or deltoid and/or biceps area of the shoulder, stiffness (decreased motion), without paresthesias
Symptoms of cervical nerve root compression with radiculopathy
any pain with or without cervical pain, paresthesia (numbness) are common, C5 and C6 nerve root syndromes most commone
Symptoms of spinal cord compression with myelopathy
Chronic cervical pain, may or may not have arm symptoms, impaired upper and/or lower limb coordination, with or without altered gait, bowel or bladder control impairment
