What is work done
When a force moves an object into brought distance and energy is transferred
How to calculate work done
Work done(J) = Force(N) X Distance(M)
What does 1 newton-metre(Nm) of work equal to
1 joule
What is energy transfers when a car brakes
-Moving object has kinetic energy store
-During breaking the brake presses against the wheel and force of friction acts between break and wheel. So kinetic energy store of car is transferred to thermal energy store of brakes. So temperature of brakes increased as the car slows down as it loses kinetic energy
