slicing

essentially cutting a part of a string to return a little stukkie of the string , uses the same syntax as iteration with ranges sllice(start:stop:step)

lower

Function to convert string to lowercase. Doesn’t change whatever the input is ie doesnt act like int() or float() where if the thing entered isnt one of those it will be an error. Instead converts the input in the computer to lowercase and returns the lower case version to the computer
