Adjacent Angles
Two coplanar angles with the same vertex and a common ray or side between them.
Linear Pair
A pair of adjacent angles whose non common sides are opposite rays (forms a straight line); these angles are supplementary.
Vertical Angles
Two angles whose sides form two pairs of opposite rays or two intersecting lines. Vertical angles are congruent.
Complementary Angles
Two angles whose measures have a sum of 90∘. Each angle is called the complement of the other.
Supplementary Angles
Two angles whose measures have a sum of 180∘. Each angle is called the supplement of each other.
Complement
The name for each angle in a pair where the sum of their measures is exactly 90∘.
Supplement
The name for each angle in a pair where the sum of their measures is exactly 180∘.
