Twigs with wings on them. Pine cone looking buds. Fruit cases look like little wings themselves.

Big brown fuzzy distinct buds.

Big fuzzy terminal bud. Possibly no leaves at this time, but leaves are big and come to a point. Straight and tall trunk.

Very sharp compound leaves. Fragrant grandma smelling yellow flowers. Turquoise berries.

Suction cup thingy on twigs. Elongated cones.

Distinctive bark. Sort of looks like Betula lenta bark. Dark ridges and blemishes all over bark. Smoother when young and rougher when old.

At least right now, radish looking leaf clumps. Thorns that point down. Fringe on stipule. Rose hips are small. Many canes.
Salix discolor
Fuzzy upright flowers with a gradient from red to yellow(top to bottom). Yellow whispy stamens stick out of fuzzy fruit. Thick leaf scars that look like shelves.
Taxodium ascendens
Distinctive bark. Spiky yellow leaf buds that mark branches and twigs look warty. Feathery leaves point up.
