The states attorney that proscutes the defendent.

Felony

A crime typically involving violence. Worse than a misdomeanor.

Plaintiff

The person that brings another person to court in a civil case

Double Jeopardy

The act of getting charges, charged twice or multiple times.

Crimional Homicide

Manslaughter by Negligence

Alibi

A defense claiming that defendent was somewhere else when crime was committed.

Battery

The unlawful use of force or violence against another persons.

Theft

The unlawful taking of someone else’s property.

Motion to Compel

Motion to address evidence in court.

Mediation

Discussions between the two sides, to assist them in coming to an agreement. 

Eyewitness Testimony

The testimony of someone who observed the actual event taking place.

Average citizens who are called upon to participate in the trial process.
