Anti-Roman nationalists. Tried to rise up against the Romans but failed
Messiah
Means “anointed one”. Jesus is the Messiah.
Q source
Hypothetical source of Luke and Matthew along with Mark. Believed to be a book of sayings from Jesus.
Synoptic
The gospels of Luke, Matthew and Mark which all have a similar style. It is believed that Matthew and Luke were sourced from Mark and a lost Q source.
Incarnation
Means “to become flesh”. During the incarnation Jesus becomes truly human while remaining truly God.
