Summary of SDG 1 (No poverty) key features

• Eradicating extreme poverty currently measured as people living on less than PPP$2.15/day. PPP = purchasing, power parity (looks at what $2.15 looks like in different countries when it comes to things you can afford).

• Reducing the proportion of men, women and children living in poverty by halve.

• Putting in place social protection systems

• building the resilience of those living in vulnerable situations and reducing exposure to environmental disasters that result in poverty.

Summary of SGD 2 (Zero Hunger) key features

• end hunger and ensure access for all people (in particular, the poor and people in vulnerable situations, such as infants, to safe, nutritious and sufficient food)

• end all forms of malnutrition (including under-and-over nutrition, particularly in children under 5).

• increase investment in agriculture, infrastructure, research and technology

• address trade restrictions that disadvantage farmers, particularly in low- and middle-income countries.

Summary of SGD 3 (Good HWB) key features

• Reduce global maternal mortality

• End preventable deaths of newborns and children under five

• End the epidemics of HIV, TB and malaria…

• Reduce premature mortality from non-communicable

• Strengthen the prevention and treatment of substance abuse, including drugs and alcohol

• Halve global deaths and injuries from road traffic accidents

• Reduce deaths and illnesses from hazardous chemicals and air, water and soil pollution and contamination.

• Achieve universal health coverage (including sexual and reproductive health services)

• Support the research and development of vaccines and medicines for communicable and non-communicable diseases and provide access for all

• Strengthen the implementation of the WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control.

• Strengthen capacity for early warning, risk reduction and management of HWB risks.

Summary of SGD 4 (Quality Education) key features

• Ensure all children complete free, equitable and quality primary and secondary education

• Increase the number of youth and adults who have relevant skills for employment

• Build and upgrade education facilities, including digital infrastructure

• Expand the number of scholarships available to low- and middle-income countries for essential skills training

Summary of SGD 5 (Gender Equality) key features

• End all forms of discrimination against all women and girls everywhere.

• End all forms of violence against women and girls, including human trafficking and sexual eploitation

• Eliminate harmful practices, such as child, early and forced marriage and female genital mutilatio

Summary of SGD 6 (Clean water and sanitation) key features

• Achieve universal and equitable access to safe and affordable drinking water

• Enable access to adequate and equitable sanitation and hygiene for all

• Support the participation of local communities in water and sanitation management.
