Noun
A word that represents a person, place, thing, or idea (e.g., Krithika, Bartow, kindness).
Pronoun
A word that replaces a noun, which is known as the antecedent (e.g., she, her, this).
Adjective
A word that describes or modifies a noun or pronoun (e.g., beautiful).
Verb
A word used to describe an action or a state of being (e.g., run, walk).
Adverb
A word that modifies a verb, an adjective, or another adverb (e.g., quickly, very).
Preposition
A word that relates a noun or pronoun to another word in a sentence (e.g., under).
Conjunction
A word used to join words, phrases, or clauses (e.g., and, neither…nor, because).
Interjection
A word that expresses sudden or extreme emotion and holds no grammatical weight.
