Activities that introduce new employees to the organization, helping them understand their jobs, learn about the organization, establish work relationships, and learn about policies.
Orientation Purposes
To reduce turnover, reduce errors, develop clear expectations, reduce need for discipline, improve job performance, minimize poor behaviour, reduce anxiety, reduce grievances.
Socialization (Definition)
To understand and accept the values, norms, and beliefs held by others in the organization.
