Carbon dioxide is consisted the main greenhouse gas due
to accounting for the greatest amount of warming caused by human activities.
Carbon Dioxide occurs naturally as part of the
Global Carbon Cycle but atmospheric loading has incased through human activities like the burning of fossil fuels and other emission sources
Natural sinks like oceans and plants help regulate and remove the
Carbon Dioxide from the atmosphere but human activities like deforestation can distribute or enhance these processes
Methane comes form both
Human activities and natural sources
Human activities that produce Methane consist of
Coal mining, waste decomposition, gas production and destruction, and the digestive processes of livestock in agricultural settings
Natural activities that produce Methane
Wetlands and Termit mounds
Nitrous Oxide is emitted through both
Agricultural and industrial activities
The combustion of solid waste and fossil fuels if also found to emit
Nitrous Oxide
Various synthetic chemicals are also released as a result of
Commercial, industry, and household use
Other gases like ozone that are found in the Stratosphere are found in the
Troposphere as a result of human activity
