Significant figures
Digits in a measurement that contribute to its precision; include all nonzero digits and zeros between them, and any trailing zeros that indicate precision.
Decimal places
The number of digits to the right of the decimal point; determines the level of precision of a number.
Least significant decimal place
The rightmost decimal place that contains a meaningful digit for the measurement; the smallest place value reported.
Zero decimal places
No digits to the right of the decimal point; the value is stated to the nearest whole unit.
