Sin

idea of a departure from a standead of righteousness - BDAG

Transgression

stresses that sin is an over-stepping of the boundaries that God has set.

Lawlessness

stresses that sin is a violation of established laws (1 John 3:4

Imputation

This means that through Adam's headship the entire human race stands guilty before God.

Different views on the imputation

Pelagain, Federal, Natural

Pelagian view

teaches that Adam's sin had no direct effect upon the human race…. condemned at the Council of Cathage in AD 418.

Federal Headship

teaches that Adam functioned as the representative of the human race in the Covenant of Works.

Natural Headship

This view stresses the corporate solidarity of the human race.

Inspiration

This means "full" or "complete" and indicates that the entire Bible, not just parts of it, is inspired by God.
