Why is worship important for Christian’s? 2.1 worship
Worship allows Christian’s to praise and thank God or ask for his forgiveness, seek his help for themselves or others. Worship deepens a Christian’s relationship with Godard gives Christian’s strength to live a life that he would approve of.
What does the different types of worship involve? 2.1 worship
Liturgical worship- a priest leads a congregation in formal prayers with set responses, bible passages are read out and there is often music and hymns.
Non-liturgical worship- services fit a theme and place emphasis on the word of God in the bible, and a sermon is based on these readings.
Informal worship- it is mainly silent and people speak to God when they feel Gods spirit. May involve dancing, clapping, calling out and speaking in tongues.
Private worship- may involve prayer, meditation, studying or meditation.

Communicating with God either silently or through words or praise, thanksgiving or confession, or requests for God’s help or guidance.

What is the significance of prayer. 2.2 prayer
Prayer can help someone accepts Gods will even if it means suffering, using informal prayer, many Christian’s feel they can open their heart out to God. Prayer build discipline which gives them strength in hard times, it encourages a routine. Through prayer Christian’s find peace and a sense of communication with God.

What is the significance of the Lord’s Prayer? 2.2 prayer
It acts as a reminder that Christian’s must forgive in order to be forgiven and that God is the father of the whole community, not just the individual. It can bring as sense of unity and spiritual purpose, even for non believers.

Rites and rituals through which the believer recites a special gift of grace; many believe sacraments are ‘outward signs’ of ‘inward grace.’

Why do some people think a baby should be baptised? 2.3 the sacraments: baptism
Catholics and orthodox Christian’s believe that everyone is a descendant of Adam and Eve. They also believe that everyone has a tendency to sin and needs salvation, even a baby. At an infant baptism, a baby is welcomed into the church as soon as possible and enables the parents to celebrate the baby and thank God.
Why do some people think that it is wrong to baptise a baby and is better to baptise an adult instead. 2.3 the sacraments: baptism
Baptists and Pentecostalists think that a baby is too young to understand the true meaning of a baptism so people should wait until they are an adult and are mature enough to understand the importance of a baptism. They also believe that baptism does not alone save a person; it is someone’s conversion to living a life dedicated to Jesus that is important.
