Negative feedback
A mechanism that keeps a variable close to the set by sensing a change and activating mechanisms to reverse it.
EXAMPLE: a thermostat regulating temperature, sweating to cool skin.

leads to greater change in the same direction. Feedback change is repeated and the change produces more change
