AVO Meter —> Multimeter
Black lead
in COM port
Red Lead
In V Omega mA port
Direct Current
A line with three dots below it parallel to the line
Alternating Current
~
10ADC port
Red lead for up to 10 Amps
Start with __ if current = unknown
10A
hFE, NPN, PNP
for transistors
Continuity
Beep if continuous
Voltage with multimeter
Touch + and - terminal leads
Current with multimeter
Make multi. part of circuit
Resistance with multimeter
Best to use Ohm’s law. LED requires certain number of voltage to activate (forward voltage) which makes it difficult to measure with multimeter. Also R can change with current and temperature
Resistor resistance with multimeter
+ and - leads with ONLY MM as V source to figure out tolerance
