Describe the experiment on how rate changed with temperature.

  • measure 10cm of 0.2 HCL and 10cm of sodium this surface in separate measuring cylinders and boiling tubes

  • Ensure both solutions are at the same temp

  • Place conical flask on top of a black cross. Add sodium thiosulfate then HCL

  • Start the stopwatch and swirl solution to mix

  • Stop the clock when the cross disappears and repeat with different temperatures

  • Draw a graph of temperature against time

  • 1/T is a measure of rate
