Departure Lounge
Area where passengers wait before boarding a flight. Example: We waited in the departure lounge for our flight to Tokyo.
Clear
To make something understandable or resolved. Example: Can you clear this question for me? I don’t understand.
Attendant
A person whose job is to serve passengers on an aircraft. Example: The flight attendant served us drinks during the flight.
Vision
The ability to see. Example: She has perfect vision and doesn’t need glasses.
Ambition
A strong desire to achieve something. Example: His ambition is to become a doctor.
Adjust
To change or alter something to fit or function better. Example: I need to adjust my seatbelt before takeoff.
Check on
To make sure everything is alright. Example: She went upstairs to check on the baby.
Bunk In
To sleep in someone's room or space, often temporarily. Example: Can I bunk in with you tonight?
Dormitory
A large room where several people sleep, often in a school or hostel. Example: I lived in a dormitory during my first year at university.
Laziness
A lack of willingness to work or use energy. Example: The juries were annoyed by the laziness of the participants.
Economy Class
The standard and cheapest class of air travel. Example: We flew economy class to save money.
Extinguish
To put out a fire. Example: Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire.
Misread
To read something incorrectly. Example: I misread the instructions and made a mistake.
In Advance
Ahead of time. Example: You should book your tickets in advance.
