Identity

the central exploration of who a character is, how they perceive themselves, and how society defines them. It tracks a character's internal struggle or growth as they navigate self-discovery, cultural expectations, and personal transformation

Resilience

the core message or underlying meaning about a character's or community's capacity to endure hardship, bounce back from profound trauma, and adapt or grow through deep adversity

Agency

exploration of how much control characters truly have over their lives versus how much they are controlled by outside forces.

Initiative

a central message of a character taking independent action, making decisive choices, and exerting their own free will to alter their destiny or environment rather than remaining passive

Vision

theme explored as simple wisdom and calculated planning. Stories contrast wise characters who prepare for the future against reckless characters who only live for the present moment

Aspiration

literary theme, it explores how striving for greatness, power, knowledge, or love drives the plot, shapes human identity, and often leads to triumph or tragic ruin
