Protective clothing provided for student use that must be worn during laboratory activities.

Distilled Water

The only substance allowed to fill wash bottles for laboratory use.

Glass Disposal Container

A designated container used for disposing of broken or waste glassware after using a brush and dustpan to clean it up.

Insoluble Materials

Waste items such as solid chemicals, metals, matches, and filter paper that must be disposed of in proper waste containers rather than the sink.

Fume Hoods

Ventilation devices in the laboratory that must be turned off, alongside closing containers and shutting off gas and electrical equipment, during a fire drill.

Damaged Electrical Equipment

Electrical items exhibiting frayed cords, exposed wires, or loose connections, which must not be used and must be reported immediately.

Tongs or Heat-Protective Gloves

Equipment required to pick up and handle heated metals and glass that remain very hot for a long time.

Proper Footwear

Footwear that completely covers the foot, required during laboratory activities with sandals strictly prohibited.
