• Foundation of Filipino morality

• Trusting in God’s wisdom and seeking his guidance

• Calls us to live by divine law, be morally upright, and respect the diverse faiths of others.

Respect for Life

• Rooted in the belief that life is sacred from conception to death

• Respecting life means protecting it from harm

• Opposes unnecessary violence, abuse and neglect

Order

• Following laws, rules, and procedures ensures harmony in society.

• Not just obedience to authority, but also about self-discipline.

Work

• A moral obligation and contribution to the community and nation.

• “Sipag at Tiyaga”

• Work must be done with excellence

• Prayer and Work

Love

• goes beyond emotions, an active choice to care, forgive, and help others without expecting anything in return.

• Fili culture is rich in expressions such as malasakit (genuine concern) and bayanihan (community spirit), both rooted in this.

Freedom

• The ability to choose and express oneself without oppression, while respecting the rights and freedoms of others

• Paired with responsibility, abusing freedom leads to disorder

Peace

• Not merely the absence of conflict

• The presence of mutual respect and understanding

Truth

• Honesty in words and actions, avoiding lies and deceit

• Strengthens trust among people

• In Filipino culture, it holds credibility and good relationships

Justice

• Endures fairness and protects the weak from the powerful

• Equity for all

Unity

• Working together towards common goals despite differences

• Fuels the Filipino spirit of bayanihan, especially during calamities

Equality 

• Recognizing that everyone is equal in dignity and rights regardless of anything.

Respect for the Law and Government

• Recognizing that law and government exists to maintain order, protect rights, and promote the common good.

• Obeying just laws, supporting rightful authority, and participating responsibly in duty.

Patriotism

• Love and loyalty to the country, shown in actions to promote its welfare.

Promotion of Common Good

• Choosing what benefits everyone rather than just personal advantage.

Concern for the Environment

• Caring for and protecting nature to sustain life for current and future generations.
