Rationalism

opinions and actions should be based on reason and knowledge rather than on religious belief or emotional response

Tautology

a statement so framed that it cannot be denied without inconsistency

Epistemology

Theories of knowledge. Justified belief v opinion.

Ontology

science of what is; classification and explanation of entities

Fatalism

stress the subjugation of all events or actions to fate or destiny, and is commonly associated with the consequent attitude of resignation in the face of future events which are thought to be inevitable
