Exsanguination - Control any external bleeding.
A
Airway Access - Ensure the airway is patent, clear any obstructions. Use methods such as jaw thrust.
B
Breathing - Check adequacy of breathing. Check RR, and provide oxygen or ventilate if needed.
C
Circulation - Check pulse, skin color, temperature, and condition, check for shock.
D
Disability - Determine LOC/mental status using AVPU scale.
S
Spinal Application - Head, neck or spine. If needed apply backboard, C-collar, etc if needed.
T
Transport Decision - Make decision on to determine transport priority.
V
Vitals - Obtain baseline vitals.
