Notes (Open and Close Position/Root Position and Inversion)

All members of the triad are as close tougher as possible, cannot fit another triad member in between adjacent pitches. Less than an octave between lowest and highest pitches

Can fit another triad and member in between adjacent pitches. More than an octave between lowest and highest pitches

Open

The chord is the lowest sounding

Root

Third of the chord is the lowest sounding 

First Inversion 

Fifth of the chord is the lowest sounding

Second inversion
