DRAINAGE BASIN
the watershed (the surrounding high ground that forms the boundary), the source (the river's origin), tributaries (smaller streams flowing into the main river), confluences (points where rivers join), and the mouth (where the river empties into a lake, sea, or ocean).
Erosion
hydraulic action, abrasion, attrition, and solution.
Deposition
the process where a river drops the material, or "load," it has been carrying when it loses energy and can no longer hold it.
