Intro - Care

utilizing CRISPR as a means for prioritizing patient safety by finding better medical assistance, and using it specifically for those who require therapeutic edits and not enhancements. This product should be used to work towards a better society if procedures are performed safely and with the main priority being care.

paving the way

Intro - Utilitarianism/Virtue

explaining exploitation vs inaccessibility, emphasizing having a balance between preserving nature and having accessible parks for everyone. having this balance maintains respectfulness towards not only society, but the environment as well. public record, private lives

Counterclaim - Kant

CC: Clare telling Ian would be a violation of their friendship, and it would also ruin the relationship between Emma and Ian; there would be no direct benefits if the truth was brought forth

Rebuttal: Kant highlights how morality stems from duty and adherence to rational values, and a relationship (especially during early twenties) are typically more serious than a simple high school relationship. relationships should be built on trust, and having an unsteady relationship with this lie is not healthy for any of them. Emma should not be treated as a means to an end.

KP4 - Care

reiterating the importance of safety within these prison systems to ensure surveilled visitations. rather than using safety as a reason to out rule visitation, prisons should increase safety measures to ensure care for prisoners and loved ones

Intro - Virtue

emphasizing laziness vs ignorance/overworking, and how AI can be used in beneficial ways that aren’t immoral or cheating. AI can be used to help students enhance their understanding on a specific subject, and that is the type of AI that should be promoted within classrooms or study sessions. virtue ethics surrounds itself around the ideals of self improvement and becoming the most virtuous person one can be while prioritizing your understanding/learning.

New cards

mission: admission

Intro - Utilitarianism/Virtue

emphasizing prioritizing others over yourself/exploiting your community. reiterating the value of service in one’s community. despite the initial motives behind a passion project, they still bring good to our community. it is irrational to believe that every non-profit organization is created purely out of the goodness of one’s heart. as long as the project is bringing good to the community, there is nothing necessarily wrong with it.

7
New cards

healthy profits

KP4 - Care

identifying the responsibility of big corporations and their roles within the GLP-1 optimizers, and recognizing how imperative it is for these corporations to be transparent about the products they use. though these corporations are finding innovative ways to alter the drug-heavy appetite to become more addicting, it is their ultimate responsibility to make their customers aware about the products they use in their meals.

New cards

fido as feed

Intro - Care

emphasizing the owner’s right to choice and autonomy when making a decision for their pets, based on what is best for them. recognizing how we will be addressing the unethicality of zoos, cultural appreciation, and different factors that may play into the decisions of their pets and their bodies after passing. reiterating importance of being informed before making an ethical decision.
