Testes
Produce sperm and testosterone, the primary male sex hormone.

Vas deferens
Tube that connects the epididymis to the urethra
What does the Vas deferens do?
Transports mature sperm during ejaculation.
Seminal vesicles
Secrete seminal fluid that nourishes sperm and aids movement.

Prostate gland
Surrounds the urethra below the bladder
Prostate gland function
Secretes fluid that enhances sperm motility and protects it in the female reproductive tract.
Bulbourethral (Cowper’s) glands
Produce lubricating fluid for the urethra prior to ejaculation.
Penis
Serves as the passageway for urine and semen.
Androgens
Group of male sex hormones responsible for male traits and reproductive activity.
Ovaries
Produce ova (eggs) and secrete estrogen and progesterone.
Fallopian tubes location
Transport eggs from the ovary; fertilization typically occurs here.

Uterus
Houses and nourishes a fertilized egg. If no fertilization occurs, the lining sheds during menstruation.
Cervix
Opens into the vagina and dilates during childbirth.
Vagina
Serves as the passageway for menstrual flow, intercourse, and childbirth.
Labia majora & minora
Protect the vaginal opening and clitoris.
Clitoris
Small, highly sensitive structure located anterior to the urethra
Perineum
Area between the vagina and anus
Estrogen
Stimulates female secondary sex characteristics and regulates the menstrual cycle
Progesterone
Prepares and maintains the uterine lining for pregnancy.
Estradiol
Most potent form of estrogen, crucial for reproductive health.
