Primary Sources

Original materials such as artifacts, documents, recordings, and other sources of information that were produced during a particular period in history.

Secondary Sources

Documents made after an event has taken place that give second-hand accounts about a particular event, person, or information.

Bibliothèque nationale de France

Built in 1368, it is considered the oldest public library in the world which still exists today, known for its vast collection and stunning architectural design.

The Louvre Museum (Musée du Louvre)

One of the most visited museums in the world located in France, housing the Mona Lisa painting, the Venus de Milo sculpture, and Egyptian antiquities.

National Air and Space Museum (NASM)

A Washington, D. C. museum managed by the Smithsonian Institution that holds the largest collection of historic aircraft and spacecraft in the world.

Ayala Museum

A museum located in Makati City famous for its exhibit of 60 handcrafted dioramas highlighting important events in Philippine history and a collection of precolonial treasures.

Print Media

A form of media providing comprehensive, easily readable information on paper that remains accessible without electricity, though it can easily get wet, burned, or outdated.

Broadcast Media

A versatile media form offering interactive audio and visual presentations that require a television, radio, or electricity to access.

New Media (Internet)

A media form allowing global connectivity, interaction, and easily retrieved, updated information, requiring information technology skills and a computer with Internet access.

E-mail Correspondence

A communication method allowing researchers to communicate with local or foreign resource persons and share files through attachments.
