What’s blank verse?
unrhymed, usually in iambic pentameter, spoken by noble characters (class and have a nobility of character)
Whats iambic pentameter?
unstressed, stressed syllables, usually 5 iambs (10 syllables)
What is a couplet?
2 lines of verse that rhyme and are usually in the same meter

How to identify Prose vs Blank verse
Line are usually shorter in blank verse and have a flow to them. Prose usually looks longer and is spoken by non noble characters. Blank verse starts with a capital letter in each line (even if it’s not the start of a new sentence). Prose doesn’t capitalize the first letter of each word. Blank verse also has 10 syllables per line, stressed and unstressed syllables. Prose doesn’t have a flow to it
