Tissue type that possesses properties of excitability or ability to respond to a stimulus; when stimulated. Muscle tissue has ability to contract or shorten, extend or stretch and lengthen, and is quite elastic.

Nucleus

Cell structure containing clusters of proteins, DNA, & RNA, which contribute to makeup of chromosomes or our genetic code nucleus.

Movement of water across the cell membrane from an area of low concentration to high concentration to equalize fluid concentration on both sides of a membrane

Phagocytosis

Cell process that uses piece of cell membrane to wrap large molecules then pulls them inside cell once inside wrapped molecule fuses with a lysosome which proceeds to code it with digestive enzymes and digest it

Pinocytosis

Cell process that uses a piece of cell membrane to wrap a liquid molecule and then pulls it inside cell once inside wrapped molecule fuses with a lysosome which proceeds to coat it with digestive enzymes and digest it

Straw colored liquid that helps transport blood cells

Ribosomes

Small granules of ribonucleic Acid found in cells

The area of the body that contains the lungs heart great vessels esophagus and trachea

Transport of macromolecules from one side of a cell to the other by use of vesicles which are small spherical sacs that help important export various substances
