1. cognate

A word, language, or person that shares common or origin, ancestral language, or bloodline with another.

2. derivative

Unoriginal language.

3. diminutive

A word or suffix that shows smallness

4. inflection

A change in the pitch, tone, or volume of the speaker’s voice.

5. paradigm

list of multiple examples of the same word like prince and princess

6. orthography

The conventional system of writing a language correctly. This includes grammar.

7. philology

The study of language and written in historical sources.

8. phonology

The study of how speech sounds are organized in function within a language.

9. rhetoric

The art of observing in any situation what it takes to persuade.

10. syntax

The way a writer, arranges words, phrases, and sentences.

11. belie

A verb meaning to contradict, represent, or give a false impression of something.

12. clandestine

An adjective that means done in secret, covertly, or concealed.

13. collusion

A secret and dishonest agreement between two or more groups to trick, cheat, or commit a crime against others.

14. dissemble

To hide your true feelings, motives, or beliefs behind a false appearance.

15. nefarious®

Very wicked, evil, or criminal.

16. perfidious

deceitful, untrustworthy, and deliberately faithless

17. probity

Complete and proven honesty, strict, moral integrity, and an ethical behavior that is above reproach.

18. scrupulous

Being very careful to do things correctly and honestly.

19. spurious

False, fake, or not genuine.

20. stratagem

A clever, sneaky plan, or trick that is made to fool in enemy or win a game.

To come out from a source

22. inhibit

To stop, slow down, or prevent an action, process, or feeling.

23. meander

To walk slowly without a clever plan or to follow a winding, indirect course like a twisting river.

24. retrogress

To move backward or return to an earlier, typically worse or more primitive state.

25. serpentine

Bending or twisting. Figuratively used describing a complex long or sneaky line of thought that is hard to follow.
