EX: Civil Rights movement rewrote U.S. Law

Continuity

Awarness of things staying significant.

EX: patricarchy: persistence placing men in positions of dominance

Significance

Thinking and assesing the relativaly importance of event, people, groups, development and why with supporting evidence

EX: French Revolution overthrew monarchy and spread ideals (liberty, equality) across europe.

Causation

Recognize most historic events are caused by interplay or diversity and multiple causes. making evidence based judgements on what causes are more important and significant.

EX: Industrial revolution Tech advancement and shift in labor system, fundamental cause → profound economic social changes in society.

Consquence

Understand how forces from the past shape future people and society.

significant events have both short and long term effects.

EX: WW2 unitintended resulted in cold war n emergance of us and sovient union as super powers

Perspective

Awareness that history is sometimes used or abused retell/ promote grand narrative

EX: American civil war framed in modern terms as ending slavery but time reveals its complexity
