The temperature and pressure at which solid, liquid, and gaseous states of a substance exist simultaneously in equilibrium.

A substance released by the pancreas that functions to neutralize the acidity of chyme in the small intestine.

Dependent Variable
The outcome or value being measured in a study that changes based on the manipulation of other factors.

The central idea or main point that a writer puts forward as a roadmap for the reader in a piece of writing.
Appendix
A section at the end of a textbook that includes supplemental materials, data, charts, and additional information.
Cecum
The specific region of the large intestine from which the vermiform appendix extends.
Oxidation
A chemical reaction characterized by the removal or loss of electrons from a substance.
