British fought against Zulu Kingdom. The British had interests in Zulu land because of using labor to export diamonds.

West Africa. Mandinka peoples part of the ancestors of Mali empire, resistance against French colonization in Africa

Indian National Congress

First nationalist movement in British Asia/Africa. Passed reform resolutions, led independence movement, boycotted British goods, etc. British rule eventually gained independence in India 1947.

Menelik and Taytu Betul

Emperor and empress of Ethiopia. Led resistance toward and defeated Italty during Scramble of Africa. Would not sign Italy treaty for their control of Ethiopia.

Ghost Dance Rebellion

Military reaction against the US to stop the Indigenous practice of ghost dancing. US thought it was a practice of military preparations against them.
