Social Learning Theory
A framework where rewards and costs are defined in terms of specific behaviours and behavioural interactions define the relationship.
Positive behaviours
Rewards that, when exchanged, are good for the relationship.
Negative behaviours
Punishing actions that, when exchanged, are bad for the relationship.
Coercion theory
A concept explaining how negative behaviours can be inadvertently rewarded within a relationship.
Escape conditioning
A process through which negative behaviours are inadvertently rewarded.
Observational paradigms
Methodological approaches especially useful for capturing behaviour within Social Learning Theory research.
Negative reciprocity
