Avenger
never shows anger, will get you back, plots against the person, good at setting something up to get the person back, anger energy is used to plan and will only share information with select people
Positive ways to deal with anger: journaling by putting plans on paper and then not following through, hit the delete button
Avoider
doesn't know how to deal with it, doesn't want to deal with anger, stuffs angry feeling in until they blow, then they feel bad and then draw it back in and continue to stuff feelings
Positive ways to deal with anger: be direct with the person that upset you, journal writing, talk to someone to get feelings out, take time to listen and mend the situation
Destroyer
the goal is to get rid of the energy, physical: throws things, fights, hits, self hurter, destroyer of things and people, holds in energy until they are ready to explode and then are done after they get rid of the energy
Positive ways to deal with anger: do something physical - workout, go for a run, use a punching bag, squeeze a stress ball, run stairs, leave the situation, driving range
Screamer
will not listen to anyone, very articulate, will use what you say against you, uses volume to get point across, they argue and they believe they are always right, what the other person is saying doesn't matter, will save some energy/a piece of the argument to be used at a later time, always must have the last word
Positive ways to deal with anger: needs verbal interaction with volume, watch TV, listen to music louder than you, scream inside a place like a car alone with windows up
