Early interphase (Not in Mitosis)
G1- Cell growth, normal functioning, differentiation
S Phase- DNA Replication
G2- Cell Growth, Prep for Mitosis
Prophase
Chromatin Condenses in Chromosomes, nucleus breaks down, spindle fibers form (organization phase)
Metaphase
Chromosomes line up at the equator metaphase plate
Anaphase
Sister Chromatids separate and move to opposite ends of the cell using spindle fibers.
Telophase
2 new nuclei form; Chromosomes de-condense back to chromatin, spinder fibers degrade.
Cytokinesis (Not in Mitosis)
Cell membrane pinches in cytoplasm and organelles divide btwn the 2 cells in plants, cell plate (wall) forms
Late interphase
2 new identical diploid (2n) daughter cells have been formed
