place oronasal mask over nose & mouth, pull straps backwards to secure for a tight seal. Check fit of the neck seal
Duration: the air regeneration system produces oxygen for at least 15min, after 15min, breathing will become difficult, temperature inside hood starts to increase
Malfunction:
if the starter couldn’t be activated, lift neck seal, inhale deeply, exhale through oronasal mask, repeat until breathing bag filled, release neck seal
smoke inside PBE: check proper fit of neck seal
tear in the neck seal or hood: use another PBE
misting visor: adjust oronasal mask.

Post firefighting procedures
Firefighter (CC who discovers the fire)
- identify source & type of fire, switch off any electrical supply involved, collect appropriate firefighting equipment, attack fire immediately.
- simultaneously: attract attention of other CC (communicator)
Communicator (between cabin & F/D)
-report location of smoke, source, severity (density, color, odour, affect on PAX), any actions taken to extinguish fire (nb. of fire extinguishers used)

Runner
-obtains additional supplies, assisting with firefighting, relocating PAX, distribute towels for smoke protection, move out portable oxygen bottles.
Lavatory fire
→ repetitive 3 low chimes (every 30s), flashing amber light at resp. ACP, lav indication light, AIP: red light, SMOKE LAV A, Lavatory Smoke Warning at FAP
→ keep door closed until ready for firefighting, cautiously open door and attack bases of flames through partially open door, inform CMD & SC
Oven fire
→ warm oven door, smoke
→ close door, switch power off, pull related C/B, inform CMD & SC, monitor situation. If necessary: open door partially, insert fire extinguisher & discharge. (repeat)
Cabin seat fire
→ try smother with blanket / piece of clothing, cool area with non-flammable liquid, if necessary: use fire extinguisher, inform CMD & SC
hatrack fire
→ feel closed hatrack for fire with back of hands, open hatrack wide enough for fire extinguisher, discharge (if flames visible), close hatrack, inform CMD & SC
waste / luggage fire
→ use fire extinguisher, inform CMD & SC
→ when no visible flames: cool area with non-flammable liquids, inform CMD & SC
electric fire
→ switch off electrical power, apply fire extinguisher, inform SC & CMD
→ A320P: in case of failure in AFT galley, switch off main power by means of the emergency power switch.
Portable Electronic Devices (PED) / lithium battery fire
→ turn off PED (if possible), disconnect device from power supply, relocate PAX, apply fire extinguisher if flames visible, cool device with non-flammable liquid, monitor device, if no smoke/heat after 10-15min: place in fire bag
→ device in F/D: flight crew unplugs device, makes urgency call to cabin, if flames visible: firefighting, CC assists. if possible: move device in firebag, remove from flight deck. If not moveable: cool device with non-flammable liquid, monitor.
Post firefighting procedures:
- After use of fire extinguisher on solid material fires, cool off concerned object with non-flammable liquid
- After a fire is extinguished, monitor concerned area
- always keep CMD informed about the situation

in ZRH, the ASS for the cabin can be done by ISS. In this case, CCs must only search the galleys & equipment stowage

An allen Destinationen (auch ZRH & GVA) muss der Badge des Bodenpersonals, vor dem Eintritt ins Flugzeug, kontrolliert werden.

Advise pat. on use and dosage. Always ask the pat. whether they are allergic to the medication you want to give.
Ask the patient whether they have taken any medication for the present problem.
When offering a medication, show the list of contents together with the medication to the patient.
Do not cut the blister packaging. Remove medication by pressing the blister and give the medication directly to the patient.

Vor Medikamenten Abgabe muss eine BD-Messung durchgeführt werden. Der obere Wert (Syst.) darf nicht unter 100 liegen. Falls der Patient innerhalb der letzten 48 Std. potenzfördernde Mittel eingenommen hat, darf das Medikament nicht abgegeben werden. Es könnte den Blutdruck noch zusätzlich senken. Es wird ebenfalls bei Benommenheit und Bewusstlosigkeit nicht angewendet.
1 Sprühstoss wird unter die Zunge abgegeben. Falls keine Besserung nach 3min, BD erneut messen, noch mal einen Sprühstoss. Falls keine Besserung nach 3min, BD erneut messen und den 3. Sprühstoss geben. (Maximale Dosis durch Crewmember)
Zusätzlich wird 1 Tablette ASA-Tabs abgegeben.
Immer auch Sauerstoff abgeben.

Content:
They are sitting in an emergency exit row and are responsible to open the exit in case of evacuation.
Location of OWE and the signs on the exit explaining it’s use
operation of OWE and assessment of the surrounding conditions are explained in the safety demonstration & on the safety card
the outside conditions in which the OWE may not be opened are shown on the safety card
Hand luggage must be stowed in the hatracks for take-off & landing.
No loose objects to be placed on empty seats or floor for take-off & landing
Seating restrictions
PAX must agree to the conditions and understand them. PAX must be able and willing to help the crew in an emergency.

place first bag (item) in the second bag, which already contains the gloves, secure the open end in the same manner as that used for the first bag
