numerical measure, describes an aspect of a sample
Population parameter
numerical measure, describes an aspect of the population
Nominal level of measurement
applies to data that have names, labels, or categories
Ordinal level of measurement
applies to data that can be arranged in order. however, diff btwn data values either cannot be determined or are meaningless
Interval Level of Measurement
applies to data that can be arranged in order. in addition, diff btwn data values are meaningful (no true “0” starting point)
Ratio Level of Measurement
applies to data that can be arranged in order. in addition, both diff btwn data values & ratio of data values are meaningful. data of the ratio level have a true “0”
