Auricle (pinna)
The external part of the ear in the fetal pig.
Eyelid
Fold of skin that covers the eye.
External nares
Nostrils; external openings for breathing.
Snout (rostrum)
The extended part of the face of the fetal pig.
Tongue
Muscular organ in the mouth of the fetal pig.
Vibrissae (whiskers)
Sensory hairs on the snout of the fetal pig.
Forelimb
Upper limb consisting of shoulder, arm, elbow, wrist, and digits.
Hindlimb
Lower limb consisting of hip, thigh, knee, leg, and ankle.
Trunk
The main body region of the fetal pig, excluding limbs and head.
Umbilical cord
Structure connecting the fetus to the placenta, containing vessels.
Mammary papillae
Nipple-like structures for milk secretion in females.
Anus
Opening for waste excretion at the end of the digestive tract.
Tail
The posterior extension of the body of the fetal pig.

Opening for urinary and reproductive systems in males.
Scrotum
Pouch containing testicles in male fetal pigs.

Opening for urinary and reproductive systems in females.
Genital papilla
Small projection in females, marking the urogenital opening.
Ventral
Referring to the belly side of the fetal pig.
Dorsal
Referring to the back side of the fetal pig.
Rostral
Towards the snout or front end of the fetal pig.
Cranial
Towards the head end of the fetal pig.
Caudal
Towards the tail end of the fetal pig.
Medial
Towards the midline of the body.
Lateral
Away from the midline of the body.
Liver
Large internal organ responsible for metabolism and detoxification.
Stomach
Digestive organ where food is broken down.
Gall bladder
Storage organ for bile produced by the liver.
Spleen
Organ involved in filtering blood and immune response.
Large intestine
Part of the digestive system where water is absorbed; includes the sigmoid colon and rectum.
Small intestine
Long tube where most digestion and absorption occur.
Cecum
Pouch that connects the small and large intestines.
Pancreas
Gland that produces digestive enzymes and hormones.
Kidney
Organ that filters blood to produce urine.
Ovary
Female reproductive organ producing eggs.
Body of the uterus
Main part of the female reproductive organ where embryos implant.
Uterine horns
Sections of the uterus leading to the ovaries.
Fallopian/uterine tubes
Tubes through which eggs travel from the ovaries.
Vagina
Birth canal in females.
Larynx
Voice box; involved in producing sound.
Trachea
Windpipe; conducts air to the lungs.
Esophagus
Tube transporting food from the mouth to the stomach.
Thyroid gland
Gland regulating metabolism through hormone production.
Heart
Pumping organ that circulates blood.
Adrenal gland
Glands that produce hormones such as adrenaline.
Urinary bladder
Hollow organ storing urine.
Ureter
Tube carrying urine from the kidney to the bladder.
Diaphragm
Muscle aiding in breathing.
Testis
Male reproductive gland producing sperm.
Epididymis
Structure storing sperm after production.
Spermatic cord
Bundle of fibers and tissues surrounding the spermatic artery.
Vas deferens
Tube transporting sperm from the epididymis.
Thymus gland
Gland involved in immune function.
Parietal pericardium
Membrane surrounding the heart.
