MOR
Stands for Mandatory Outside Release.
Access Route
A route where the receiver looks back for the ball at 7−9yards; it is converted to a Fade versus Press (PRSS) at a depth of 6−7yds.
Slant Route Instruction
The slant angle should cross the face of the near defender; when attached, the receiver should cross the face of the first 2nd level defender and then get vertical.
Comeback Route Landmark
Bottom of the number (\text{#}) at a depth of 10−12yards; instruction states: "Do not flatten this route."
Corner Route Landmark
Located between the number (\text{#}) and the sideline, typically run at 10yds.
Climb Route
A route with a landmark of 10−12yards at the opposite hash; the receiver should sit if there is a deep defender.
Slide Route
A route run at 5−6yds where the receiver must stay behind the Line of Scrimmage (LOS).
Cross Route
A route where the receiver must always go over the top of a defender and cut the split if needed.
Read Route
Requires a Mandatory Inside Release while trying to cross the face of the flat defender; the receiver looks back for the ball at 5−7yds.
Otto Route Depth
A route run at a depth of 8−9yards or 7−8yards depending on the formation.
Post Route (MDL)
A route where the target is the Middle of the Goal Post (MDL) with a break point at the opposite hash.
Post Route (Near Hash)
A route where the receiver breaks toward the opposite upright.
Corner Nod Route
A technique where the receiver walks slowly to the Line of Scrimmage (LOS) and then sprints to the sideline.
In Route (Backside rule)
If attached backside, the W1 receiver is instructed to run a 5yard In route.
Bender Route Landmark
The Near Hash.
QB Blitz Responsibility
The QB is responsible for any blitz through the gap between the man side and the slide side.
Speed Hitch Route
A route run at a depth of 5−6yards.
MOR Vert Route
A Mandatory Outside Release vertical route where the receiver looks back for the ball at 10yds.
Whip Route Depth
A route typically run at 5yards, sometimes noted as a Delayed Whip.
Spot Route
A route run at a depth of 5−6yds.
