What is the first thing that happens during light reaction?
Light energizes PSII, H20 breaks down
Main goal of photosynthesis= to create sunlight into food (glucose) for the plant
What happens second during light reaction?
electron from H20 travels ETC (Electron Transport Chain)
Electron pulls hydrogen into the chloroplast and then pushed back out to make ATP
What happens third during light reaction?
electron losses energy, drives H2 into lumen
While the electron is losing energy, light and heat are also being lost and travels to the electron transport chain

electron needs energy, gets energy from PSI
What happens fifth during light reaction?
electron is taken up by NADP+ to create NADPH (carrys electrons and is also used in the Calvin cycle)

Its a cycle that plants use to turn carbon dioxide from the air into sugar which helps the plant grow
Its also known as the dark reaction
What is the difference between dark reaction and light reaction?
The dark reaction is responsible for making food and light reaction gives dark food
