Slake the Cao (adding water to release heat and forms a crumbly material in a mortar or beaker) and cover it with a watch glass
Let it stand for 5 mins
Add cold water and agitate for 1hr to totally dissolve the CaO
Filter the mixture and collect the supernatant liquid only
Fill the container with enough cold water until it reaches the brim, ensuring there are no bubbles inside. A clear/colorless solution should be achieved.
