Overview

The Becky Bexley books are a mixture of humour and storylines that contain useful information. Becky Bexley is a child genius who surprises people with her genius abilities even from birth, and the books about her describe episodes from her childhood and teenage years. The first one's pure comedy, a humorous children's book called The Early Life of Becky Bexley the Child Genius. The rest are in a young adult fiction series.
Those books are a mixture of humorous scenes and storylines where information related to mental health and well-being gets passed on to others, including authority figures, often by Becky. She and others pass on advice and facts that are useful to know, about such problems as depression, phobias, scams, and much more. Becky goes to university before she's even a teenager, and yet even at school, she isn't shy about giving her headmaster advice about improving the school's anti-bullying strategy, giving some of her teachers advice about giving up smoking, and even advising the American president, after in an unlikely turn of events, she gets invited to meet him! Not long after she goes to university, she advises one of her tutors about his marriage problems.
Perhaps some would say she doesn't know her place. But her advice is based on genuine therapy techniques from psychology books, which she's fond of reading. All the books contain humour, some more than others. Becky enjoys quirky banter with friends. She gets up to mischief in the children's book and briefly in one of the others, and she even gets to do stand-up comedy in front of university students.
She also helps to arrange humorous events for charity and takes part in them. This book of comedy contains a couple of humorous excerpts from the children's book and each of the first four books in the young adult fiction series, Becky Bexley the Child Genius.
