Edward IV

French King gave support to Warwick, Clarence and Margaret of Anjou. Acted against Edward and wanted to put Henry VI back on the throne

1475: Treaty of Picquigny Louis XI paid Edward £15,000 upfront and an annual pension of £10,000- helped Edward secure his hold on the throne financially. Meant that Edward did not have to appeal for taxation until 1482
