Who does B-GA-100 apply to?
B-GA-100 applies to all personnel involved in Canadian Forces flying operations
To the extent necessary, temporary exceptions to B-GA-100 are authorised when:
-An emergency exists or for the protection of lives;
-Comd 1 CAD deems it necessary to accomplish an operation;
-Written approval from Comd 1 CAD
-Essential to the defence of Canada and time does not permit clearance from Comd 1 CAD;
-To conform to NATO or host country requirements outside Canada.

DComd FG 1 CAD as delegated by Comd 1 CAD
Who does FOM apply to?
Applies to all personnel involved in the operation of RCAF aircraft and civilian aircraft contracted for or on behalf of the DND/RCAF or a foreign military force.
Who issues Wing Flying Orders?
Issued on authority of the Wing Commander.
Who issues Sqn Flying Orders?
Issued on authority of the unit CO
Flight Publication Word Convention: Warning
Operating procedures, practices, etc., which if not observed may result in injury or loss of life.
Flight Publication Word Convention: Caution
Operating procedures, practices, etc., which if not observed may result in damage or to destruction of equipment
Flight Publication Word Convention: Attention
Operating procedures, practices, etc., which if not observed may result in irretrievable loss of or damage to software programs or data

Aircraft Operating Data (AOD)
-Provides detailed operator-centric technical data and instructions on all aircraft systems and sub-systems
-Does not contain tactics or procedures on the employment of systems but the functional instructions of the system.
Aircraft Flight Manual (AFM)
Provides instructions on the operation of the aircraft to ensure that it is operated within the approved flight envelope
Sections: general, limitations, emergency procedures, normal procedures, performance
Standard Maneuver Manuals (SMM)
-Provide direction, guidance, and information for operations and training
-promote flight safety and effectiveness through standardisation
-may contain some tactics and techniques for operating the aircraft and aircraft systems
a tool that is used to ensure that differing crews/personnel are not using unapproved methods while conducting flying operations
