Patient severely injured/surgery, very fragile, SLP works with anyone in hospital setting, ICUs, CCU, NICU
Rehabilitation Facility
therapies of Occupation, Physical, Speech-Language, can be acute/long-term acute
Outpatient Rehabilitation Facilities
Community dwellers who come to outpatient clinic to be seen
Home Health Care
Neither inpatient nor outpatient, SLP goes to the home of the client/patient, receiving care at home.
Hospice Care
Palliative care; the main goal of care is comfort. (Goal is not to reverse disease)
Children's hospital
Can have the areas of SNF, acute care, rehab, outpatient rehab, home health, hospice

Neurogenic Communication Disorders
A problem with communication as a result of damage to the brain or other part of the nervous system.
